about me

Hey stranger!

my name is Erin.

This is my personal website and a work-in-progress. As with many other things in life, I’m still learning the ropes and trying my best. Visual art is, in fact, another thing I’m trying to improve on. We’re getting there, one doodle at a time 🙂

August 2023

My website is my resume.

Goal

A whole website is somewhat excessive for a resume, I think. What I really want to do here is share my thoughts and passion, whatever it may be.

A little about me –

I am a 22-year-old with a bachelor of arts degree. I’m not quite sure what I want to do with my life just yet, or what I’m truly passionate about. If you’d like, please join me on my journey of self-discovery 🙂

Education

University of Toronto, BA — Senior

September 2019 – June 2023

Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Cognitive Science and minors in Psychology and History and Philosophy of Science and Technology.

Cognitive science is an emerging field that studies the brain as if it were a computational machine. This rather niche field is actually an interdisciplinary one, making it very versatile and interesting to study. Over the course of my degree, I’ve taken courses in psychology, linguistics, philosophy, and computer science.

History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (HPS) to me feels like studying the sciences from a different perspective. Where biology learnt about the human anatomy, we learnt about the process and difficulties that many scientists or, as they were called during their time, thinkers faced before coming to a conclusion or a revolution!
